Hotel de Campo Caño Negro is a new Costa Rican Outdoors center, offering ecotourism, adventure vacation, in the National Wildlife refuge of Caño Negro. Activities like nature photography, birdwatching, safary photography tour are escellente product even for cientifics vacations.

With 307 species of birds, 101 of which are migratory Caño Negro is a must visit place for birdwatching vacations; with 160 reported mammals, 7,000 caimans and much more, animal observation and safari photography become an irresistible practice.  Animal observation is appropriate for everyone—beginners and experts, young people and older adults—and is organized in a relaxing way.

We have planned a longer and more adventurous tour for safari photographers.  For both kinds of tourism we can combine kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking and boat trips.  The Hotel de campo Caño Negro is located in the buffer zone of the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge on 35,000 square meters of property facing the lake.  It has 14 comfortable rooms with private baths, all with a view of the lagoon.  There is bar and restaurant service in a typical indigenous thatched-roof hut, and an over-sized swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

Fishing in Caño Negro is a unique and exciting experience:  tarpon, gar, snook, machaca and rainbow bass are the order of the day.
