predator fish such as the tarpon (Megalops atlanticus), the
alligator gar (Atractosteus spatula), several bass species

(Parachromis managuensis), and others—such as the freshwater
drum, mojarras, machacas—make Caño Negro reserve
one of the best places in Costa Rica for this marvelous sport.
